Our collections in brushed bronze, brushed champagne gold, brushed graphite, and gun metal from the other collections feature the PVD galvanization process. This advanced technology creates a thin, strong top layer on the product. This is done through evaporation. A liquid metal is vaporized while under vacuum. Thanks to this vacuum process, the finish is environmentally friendly 🌱
This is because lower temperatures are required. This moisture is then "beaten" onto a product—sometimes several times, creating multiple layers. The vapor takes on a larger shape when it's applied to the product, creating a beautiful, vibrant layer. The coating then takes on the properties of the material it's damped onto. A PVD coating is incredibly strong, even though it's only wafer-thin (2 to 5 µm).
