Our glass fittings are equipped with the PVD galvanization process. This advanced technology applies a thin, strong top layer to the product. This is done through evaporation. A liquid metal is vaporized while under vacuum. Thanks to this vacuum process, the finish is environmentally friendly 🌱
This is because lower temperatures are required. This vapor is then "impaled" onto a product—sometimes several times, creating multiple layers. The vapor solidifies once it lands on the product, creating a beautiful, smooth layer. The coating then takes on the properties of the material it's vaporized onto. A PVD coating is incredibly strong, even though it's only wafer-thin (2 to 5 µm).
